WHY JESUS CHRIST?

The teachings of Jesus transcend time and culture, enduring through centuries. Perhaps this is because they encapsulate the essential elements for a profound understanding of human existence, compassion, and life in both earthly and spiritual realms. His wisdom often leads individuals toward a more meaningful, loving and caring existence.

 

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Since 2010, the original oil paintings of Jesus of Nazareth have been meticulously crafted by renowned South African artist and writer, Johan Vlok Louw. Born in Cape Town, Louw studied Fine Art and Design at the Central University of Technology, drawing inspiration from the old masters while specializing in oil painting. Over the past two decades, he has authored five novels published by Penguin Random House, all of which have been nominated for major literary awards.

Louw’s work—both his painting and writing—is known for its intense exploration of the human experience, blending stark realism with spiritual and poetic insights. His art captures the beauty and challenges of life, reflecting its complexity and depth.

Our printing and shipping operations are based in Cape Town. All prints are frameless and available in two sizes: the original 75 x 100 cm or a smaller 45 x 60 cm. PAYMENT OPTIONS

You can shop in our online store using various payment methods. We accept all major credit cards, international direct bank transfers (EFT for South Africa), PayPal, and other secure options. 

If you place an order outside of our webshop, please email us with the transaction reference from your bank. In the bank transaction reference, include your order details: the names of the prints, the size (big or small), and the quantity.
